Last Season: The Odd Couple

In the Spring 2008 season, Will Rice Players staged Neil Simon's The Odd Couple:

Directed by Jessica Cruz and Keith Stonum. Produced by Michael Rog, with technical direction by Katie O'Sullivan, set design by Troy McLaughlin, and dialect coaching by Katelyn Willis.

Neil Simon's The Odd Couple is the hilarious story of two best friends, Felix and Oscar: On the night Felix separates from his wife, Oscar invites Felix to live in his apartment. Though best friends, the two could not be any more different. Oscar is messy, likes to eat stale potato chips, and is a spendthrift. Felix is a compulsive cleaner who likes to cook and prides himself in saving money. Their clashing personalities and lifestyles are the subject of this witty and fresh comedy. A few of their closest buddies also join in the comedy.

The show was a smashing success, enjoyed both by its audiences and by campus critics. The Thresher's review praised the show for its crisp humour, engaging drama, and flawless technical execution. The show also garnered Sammy awards in every eligible category, inclusing Best Show.
